Sound Problems With PC Version?

[CopperCandy]

I love my PlayStation, but I play Tomb Raider on my PC so I can capture screenshots and video clips etc. However, sometimes there’s a problem with some of the sounds and background music, such as the sound when Lara finds a secret, and some of the cut scenes don’t work.

I’ve discovered that my problem was that my disc wasn’t installed in the main CD-ROM drive. If you have the same problem, make sure your game disc is played from your primary CD drive to see if this solves the problem before looking for fixes.

Hope this helps! 😀

You can now download the older Tomb Raider games from Steam, GOG and Origin. These should work ‘out of the box’.

If, for some reason, the Steam/GOG game still won’t play music or other sounds, go into the game sound settings and set the volumes to ‘9’ instead of ’10’. This worked for me.
