A clue to help her get one step closer. She picks it up and safely put it in her pocket.
She went to the armory room. Punched in a few codes and the doors were unlocked. She strapped on her holster and slipped her two precious pistols lovingly in her holster. In addition to her dual pistols, she picked out a couple of Uzis, grenade, gas grenade, a scope, MP5, and a couple other necessities.
With everything loaded in her land rover she ignited the engine.
“Time to have fun, Lara?” a voice from her ear piece started.
“You bet I am,” she answered.
The vehicle rolled out and sped out Croft Mansion in search of the thieves…
November 7, 2005 at 07:00#5475After driving for about an hour, Lara pulls over. Thoughtfully, she puts her hand into her pocket and pulls out her only clue. A small matchbook with one word on it: ‘Jubilee’. Not the name of a hotel, or company, but she’s heard the name before in relation to a person.
She casts her mind back 18 months…She’s in Rio de Janeiro, at a museum. The people next to her are talking about a collector they have heard of who’s speciallity is stealing historical artifacts for his or her own pleasure. This person is very rich, and completely ruthless, stopping at nothing to gain whatever they have set their mind on. No-one, they said, has ever been known to have seen them…the only name this person is known to go by is ‘Jubilee’.
A strange sense of forboding steals over Lara as she looks at the matchbook. Something about this doesn’t feel right. The ‘convenient’ conversation she overheard, the ‘convenient’ clue she’s just found…could this ‘Jubilee’ , or his minions really be that careless?
Shaking her head slowly, she puts the matchbook away and starts up her Jeep. Whatever the circumstances, she knows she must continue.
Rio de Janeiro!
