My TR1 walkthrough guide has undergone a few changes over the years. It was written a long time ago when I was fairly new to PC gaming. It’s been brought to my attention that there are a few things not quite right with it. Some of the information is, in some cases, a bit confusing, and some of the save game files posted at the bottom of each level are not what they should be.
With this in mind, I’m playing the game through again, updating the guide where it needs it and replacing all of the save game files. I’m currently working my way through, so please be patient.
you will need to use the ‘saveati’ format. Otherwise, the normal/old save format is the ‘SAVEGAME’ file. They are not compatible with each other, so please bear this in mind when installing the above patching software. If you have previously used the normal PC game, you will probably need to play the game from scratch again after you have installed the patch. Please back up your saves before installing any other save file or the above patch.
Please read the ‘readme.txt’ file within the file zips for more information.
This means I need to play each level through twice, once for each format, so it will take a while. 🙂
I try to use as little ammo as possible, but there will be times when I’ve needed to use my medipacks, shotgun, Uzi or Magnums. However, I do this only when absolutely necessary, so you should still have plenty of everything if you decide to download one of my save files.
